Total Time 1 hour 20 minutes
Servings: 25 Cookies
Course: Dessert

Ingredients

  • 3 Cups All-Purpose Flour
  • 1 Cup Brown Sugar
  • 1/2 Cup White Sugar
  • 2 tsp Cornstarch
  • 1 tsp Baking Soda
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 2/3 Cup Vegetable Oil
  • 2 Eggs room-temperature
  • 2 tbsp Milk we use 2%!
  • 1 tbsp Vanilla Extract
  • 1 1/2 Cups Chocolate Chips semisweet
  • 1 Cup Walnuts optional
  • Flaky Sea Salt optional

Method

  1. Preheat the oven to 325 F / 165 C.
  2. In a bowl, mix all of the dry ingredients together.
  3. Add all of the wet ingredients. Mix until almost combined, but not quite.
  4. Add the chocolate chips and walnuts. Mix until combined.
  5. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Scoop 6 3-tbsp balls of cookie dough to put on each tray.
  6. Bake at 325 F / 165 C for 15 minutes. If desired, sprinkle with flaky sea salt when freshly out of the oven.
  7. Leave the cookies to rest on the tray for at least 5 minutes as they flatten slightly after baking.
  8. Enjoy!

Notes

  1. Be sure to know that to be done baking in 4 batches, one tray will need 7 cookies instead of 6.
  2. Although we don't want to overmix the batter, it is important to have it partially mixed before adding the walnuts. Otherwise, the dry ingredients get stuck in the cracks of the walnuts.
