Method
- Add the dark chocolate chips to a microwave safe bowl. Microwave for 30 seconds intervals, stirring in between, until the chocolate chips are fully melted.
- Add the peanuts and stir (your hand or a rubber spatula works best) until the peanuts are evenly coated.
- Spread the chocolate covered peanuts as a flat layer1 on a parchment paper lined plate or baking sheet.
- Top with flaky sea salt, if desired.
- The chocolate covered peanuts take roughly 45 minutes to set in the fridge or 3 hours to set at room temperature.

Notes
1: Chocolate Covered Peanuts or Chocolate Peanut Clusters?: If you end up with clusters or with individually coated peanuts is a result of how much you spread out the peanuts before letting them set. If you spread them as a flat layer, but many of the peanuts are still overlapping, you'll get clusters. If they're even more spaced apart, barely touching, they'll break off easily into individual peanuts. Even if you do end up with clusters, you can still break them apart into smaller pieces!
